Guest House
The Guest House originally served as the quarters for slaves serving the Main House. The close proximity on the eastern flank of the primary residence assured close and constant access for the needs of the owners. Constructed at the end of the 18th century, the house was in total ruin by the end of the 20th century. The new structure was completed in 2017 and retains very few original elements other than massive heart pine flooring sourced from other structures on site.
The Guest House incorporates the simple and plain exterior that provides the low country charm exemplified at Middleburg. Walking through the front door will bring guests to the living room offering plenty of seating, a full kitchen, a dining area, and an exquisite view of the property and Cooper River. Complete with modern amenities, guests will have access to two full bathrooms and three bedrooms with space for up to six people.
