Weddings
The historic Middleburg estate, located along the banks of the East Branch of the Cooper River in Huger, South Carolina, provides a unique and timeless setting for your wedding day.
The property features 326 acres of green space as well as river access, trails, wildlife viewing, and recreation. The estate includes four historical homes that can accommodate up to 28 guests.
Outdoor Spaces
Middleburg is highlighted by a number of outdoor locations within the property that are ideally suited for weddings of all sizes.
Front Lawn
Middleburg welcomes all visitors with a live oak drive that leads to the estate’s Front Lawn and historic Main House. The house blends with the iconic Spanish moss-lined oak corridor to create an idyllic gathering space for ceremonies or cocktail hours.
Back Lawn
Enjoy classic Lowcountry scenery around the estate as well as vibrant sunsets over the Cooper River in the evenings. The Back Lawn offers spectacular views of the property and Reflection Pond, direct access to three homes on the main campus, and a handmade brick fireplace that incorporates elements from Middleburg’s original stables.
Side Lawn
The Side Lawn, an ideal location for ceremonies and photography sessions, is highlighted by Middleburg’s largest live oak and serves as a premier location on the property to enjoy sunrise and sunset.
Back Patio
The Back Patio, located at the back of the Main House, provides shade from the sun and heat while guests begin their celebrations. This area works well with celebrations on the back lawn and in the main house.

Bridal Suite
The 325-year-old Main House is a timeless and iconic Middleburg landmark. The house retains many original features and elements while also providing modern comfort for guests. The Main House has four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a living room – an ideal location for wedding preparations.
Groom's Suite
In the comfortable and spacious Commissary, groomsmen can gather and prepare for the day’s events. The house is on the east side of the property, with plenty of privacy from the main complex. The Commissary has a large common area, a full kitchen, two bedrooms/bathrooms, and a large television.
Accommodations
Middleburg’s overnight accommodations include a total of 10 bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms, divided across four separate buildings, and are available for rent as part of your wedding package.
